Emissions regulations
Air releases: emissions or channeled emissions can be treated as continuous emissions and linked to a stack for continuous measurement.
Manufacturers must have measurements taken by competent control bodies in order to comply with regulations governing the emission of specific volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Quad-lab has changed its services to respond to this instruction and help regulators optimize their samples. The laboratory has designed two turnkey analytical packages that meet the requirements of the February 2, 1998 ministerial directive (Annexes III and IV).
This form of measurement leads to increasingly sophisticated sampling, which is frequently carried out under adverse conditions.
This is why, in December 2010, the AFNOR produced a guide (FD X43-319) to ensure a balance of procedures used by organizations executing controls on channeled gaseous discharges emitted by industrial units. Many references are available 24 hours a day, as is sampling equipment.
Examples that show the diversity of our analysis panel:
the aldehydes on 2,4-DNPH
the mercaptans on mercuric acetate bubbling
phenol on XAD 7
Amines on H2SO4 or tubes
hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) on cadmium acetate bubbling
hydrogen (H₂), methane (CH₄), carbon dioxide (CO₂) on aluminium bag or bulb
the search for compounds without a predefined list (screening) for other volatile organic compounds on activated carbon is typically conducted by collecting samples and analyzing them using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
